Get to know "the crow"

Hey, ya'll!  I'm Leslie Jean - the "Crow" of TLC!

I began baking in 2016, embracing the confectionary gift that would soon become not only my creative outlet but something I'd immerse myself into completely with zest and passion. My edible art hobby quickly proved to be invaluable to my mental health - allowing me to use my creativity, meet strangers turned friends and assist in financially providing for our growing family.  Being a part of your family's celebrations - big or small - is the heart of what I do.  It's an honor to contribute to special moments, and I'm committed to ensuring every bite tells a story worth remembering.

Some fun facts about me:

• I once made a "cake"  using fresh  Kentucky Fried Chicken meal items - their mac 'n cheese and potatoes & gravy as fillings and drumsticks & nuggets as decor. 

• I never meet a stranger and will often randomly compliment people - because kindness is free and a smile can change the world.

• I was a 'tomboy" growing up and still dislike wearing dresses to this day.

• I was an exotic bird breeder and hand-tamed birds such as macaws and cockatoos, while running a small farm - complete with Finnish rabbits and a pygmy goat named "Duncan Earl".

• I love listening to murder mysteries and unsolved crime cases while decorating my bakes.  Listening to podcasts have recently become my go-to.

• My happy place is the movie theater - I go as often as possible.  I enjoy almost all movie genres but especially cartoons/animated films.

• I collect an eclectic mix of things including:  cookie cutters, children's books, beaded/gaudy earrings, nutcrackers, Strawberry Shortcake memorabilia and unique hand bags.

• As a preteen, my ultimate goal in life was to reside in every state in the U.S. and acquire a drivers license "souvenir" as proof.  Laughably, I have never lived anywhere other than the South.

• Baking and my faith have pulled me through life lessons worthy of sharing - my core goal is to use them both in my testimony to help others.

I truly would not be able to bring my dream of being a "baking-baddie" to life without each and every one of YOU!  The connections, the adventures and the clients-turned-family is something you just can't put a price tag on, you know?!
